Telemedicine is one of the fastest-growing segments of healthcare because it offers numerous tangible and intangible benefits to healthcare organizations, practitioners and patients. Rather than clogging up emergency departments and private practice offices with relatively small health issues, patients can use a number of different technology options to consult with physicians.

Patients also can receive treatment in a timely, flexible manner. And for clinicians, telemedicine can be a godsend in helping them to spend more face-to-face time with patients with more difficult medical conditions.
